Dr. Mojola Omole is an established speaker on breast cancer (especially in racialized women) and diversity within the medical communities across North America.

Having immigrated from Nigeria to rural Ontario at the age of eight, Dr. Mojola Omole went on to complete her medical education at University of Toronto and her residency in general surgery at McMaster University. Her fellowship in global surgery was the catalyst for her work as global surgical oncologist. Mojola has worked in Nigeria, Rwanda and Nicaragua and currently you can find her at Scarborough Health Network in Toronto.

COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT

An executive board member of the Black Physicians of Ontario, a consultant for anti-Black racism and anti oppression training, chair of the special issue in the CMAJ on Anti-Black racism in medicine and chief medical officer and device consultant for the stage zero collection, Dr. Mojola Omola has spent the last 20 years changing the medical space across Canada.

Mojola hosts a bi-weekly podcast for the Canadian Medical Association Journal. CMAJ Podcasts delves into the scientific and social health advances on the cutting edge of Canadian health care. Episodes include real stories of patients, clinicians, and others who are impacted by our health care system.
